It seems the Oasis reunion saga has taken another twist, and this time, new music might actually be on the way. If Liam Gallagher is to be believed, the band has already completed a new album.
Over the weekend, a curious fan reached out on Twitter/X to ask Liam if he had any new music coming. His response?
“Yep, it’s already finished.” When asked if this meant a full album, he added, “It’s in the bag, mate, f**k the air.” As for his review of the new album? In typical Liam fashion, he called it, “TURDOS.”
In an unexpected shift, Liam also had kind words for his brother Noel, whom he’s often mockingly referred to as a ‘potato.’ This time, however, his tone was much more positive. “No, he is bloody well not,” Liam said when asked if Noel was still a ‘potato.’
He continued, “I won’t have a bad word said about that gorgeous, talented young man.”
While fans are left speculating whether this could be one of the albums Noel mentioned in a Rolling Stone podcast last year—one described as “a very, very heavily guitar-based stadium rock album”—it’s still unclear if Liam’s claims about a new Oasis album are fact or just wishful thinking.
As always, the Gallagher brothers keep us guessing.
