Steve Miller Announces Sets a Pair of Rare 2026 Concert Dates Honoring Blues and Jazz Roots

Steve Miller is keeping his live plans very selective in 2026, but fans still have two chances to catch him this fall. Ultimate Classic Rock reports that the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has confirmed a two-night stand at the Rose Theater in New York City on October 9 and 10, 2026, making those his only confirmed concerts for the year.

The shows fit into Miller’s long-running Lincoln Center residency, with his official site saying the performances will mark his ninth installment honoring his blues and jazz heroes. The venue’s listing adds that doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a pre-concert talk before the 7:30 p.m. performances.

The announcement comes after Miller abruptly scrapped his 2025 touring plans, saying the combination of extreme heat, flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes, and forest fires made the risks “unacceptable” for fans, the band, and the crew. His longtime bassist, Kenny Lee Lewis, defended the decision at the time, arguing that it was simply too dangerous for the 81-year-old musician to keep pushing through extreme weather.

Although he is no longer mounting a full-scale road run, Miller has still been active inside the Rose Theater. Setlist records show that his most recent New York residency performance featured jazz and blues material such as “The Golden Striker,” “Born to Be Blue,” “Cold Duck Time,” and “Fly Like an Eagle,” suggesting that the upcoming October shows will continue that more intimate format rather than a greatest-hits arena set.

For now, the two New York dates are the only confirmed 2026 shows on the books, and that makes them especially notable for fans hoping to see Miller in a live setting again.
