Steven Tyler Resurfaces For The First Time Since Suffering Vocal Injury

Steven Tyler‘s vocal chord problems forced Aerosmith to cancel their final tour. The rocker hurt his vocal cords in early September and was instructed not to sing for thirty days, forcing the band to cancel six shows.

The musician fractured his larynx, according to the release. Because of the rocker’s injuries, the band rescheduled all of their events for 2024.

Tyler just appeared in a new Instagram shot uploaded by photographer Ross Halfin.In the image, the musician plays his guitar, followed by a selfie and a happy photo of him.”In the description, Halfin wrote, ” Los Angeles a day with The ‘Demon of Screaming’ although not a lot of Screaming as Steven’s recuperating. Great to see him. The slide he’s playing on the guitar once belonged to the great Mr Peter Green.”

Many touching comments were left on the photographer’s post by his admirers. Some expressed appreciation for the musician, while others sent their well wishes.

As one user commented, “I love him and have been a fan for more than 45 years!!! We had tix for their 50th-anniversary show,orig. in Sept 2020…We held onto those tickets, and we FINALLY got to use them…On Sept 8, 2022!! Now, we are holding onto tickets for what was to be their final Boston show ever(NYE,12/31/23)…I hope that perhaps at some point Steven will have recovered, and that final tour WILL happen…”

The New Dates for 2024 Shows

They had scheduled the postponed events for Detroit, Chicago, Washington, Toronto, Raleigh, and Cleveland. The rescheduled concerts will begin on January 29. The rest of the dates are:

January 29 – Detroit, MI – Little Caesars Arena
February 14 – Chicago, IL – United Center
February 17 – Washington, DC – Capital One Arena
February 21 – Toronto, ON – Scotiabank Arena
February 26 – Raleigh. NC – PNC Arena
February 29 – Cleveland, OH – Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse

It’s unclear whether the band will add gigs to the previously stated dates.
