For decades, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry have been the fiery core of Aerosmith — the “Toxic Twins” whose chemistry defined some of rock’s most enduring anthems. Their partnership has weathered countless highs and lows, but whenever the two share a stage, sparks fly and fans are reminded of the power they created together.

That magic is set to return this week. Tyler will reunite with Perry on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The Aerosmith singer is slated to join Perry’s side project, The Joe Perry Project, for a special set as they open for The Who. Tyler is expected to perform three songs alongside his longtime bandmate, a rare onstage reunion since Aerosmith went on hiatus in 2022.

The Joe Perry Project currently features Perry with fellow Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford, Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes on lead vocals, Buck Johnson on keyboards, Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots on bass, and Jason Sutter on drums.

The pair have already tested the waters of performing together again. Earlier this year, Tyler and Perry reunited in San Francisco for a Janie’s Fund benefit and later performed at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards during an Ozzy Osbourne tribute. They also teamed up on a new single, “My Only Angel,” with Yungblud, released this summer.

Though Aerosmith’s future remains uncertain, Perry has hinted that a proper reunion is not out of the question. “I would bet that there’s an Aerosmith show left,” he told fans earlier this year. With Tyler stepping onto the Hollywood Bowl stage beside him, that bet feels closer to paying off.
