Roger Taylor, the legendary drummer of Queen, is set to release his seventh solo album and embark on a rare UK headline tour this autumn.
The new album, titled ‘Violence Insane in a Beautiful World’, will drop on September 18, 2026, via Columbia Records. It contains nine original tracks written by Taylor plus a cover of John Lennon’s classic ‘Jealous Guy’.
The lead single ‘Come On Summer (It’s Party Time)’ is a joyful, euphoric track featuring the incredible Ndlovu Youth Choir from Limpopo, South Africa. The choir also appears on two other album tracks. Roger was blown away by their viral cover of “Bohemian Rhapsody” and invited them to collaborate.
“They did the most incredible cover version of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’… So we suddenly had the bright idea of asking them to sing on some of the tracks… I’m really thrilled with their work on that,” enthused Roger.
The album carries a strong message, reflected in its title. Taylor explained:
“It’s in the title really — what a beautiful world we live in, don’t f*** it up. There seems to be all this insanity at the moment… The violence in the world seems to be as bad as it ever was… But it’s a beautiful world, you know. And kindness is very important.”

It’s fantastic to see Roger Taylor staying so active and creative outside of Queen. At 77 years young, he’s still delivering new music with strong messages and collaborating with fresh talent like the Ndlovu Youth Choir. This tour gives fans a rare chance to see one of rock’s greatest drummers in an intimate solo setting — something that doesn’t happen often.
