Ballantine’s has revealed a new limited edition AC/DC whisky.

Ballantine’s new AC/DC whisky is available now, £24.95 ($30.54) for a 70cl bottle from the whisky exchange.

Scottish distillers are honoring the world’s most legendary musicians and bands with their “Ballantine’s  True Music Icons” range. In this edition, they are paying tribute to AC/DC. They have introduced a rock’n’roll core into their equally legendary and timeless bottle of Finest whisky. And the limited edition AC/DC whisky is now available.

“The AC/DC bottle highlights their most legendary symbol, the thunderbolt, influenced by the band’s most recent album, PWR UP.”

The Whisky Exchange portrays the new Ballantine’s AC/DC whisky as having aromas of heather, honey, and baking spice on the nose. Additionally, the palate offers notes of milk chocolate, orchard fruit, and toasted malt.

Ballantine’s has also titled a cocktail in the band’s honor. They also represent the ‘Dark and Thunderstruck’ as a bend on the classic Kentucky Mule Whisky Cocktail, presenting the essence fused with ginger ale and lime juice.

The rock band AC/DC is deeply connected to Scotland, with lead guitarist Angus Young, his late brother Malcolm Young, and late singer Bon Scott all being born in Scotland.

The band will also present as part of this weekend’s Power Trip festival at the Empire Polo Club (which is the home of the Coachella Festival) in Indio, California.

The Power Trip music festival started on Friday, October 6 with featured performances from Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden. On Saturday, October 7, AC/DC and Judas Priest will resume the stage. Furthermore, Metallica and Tool will close out the festival on Sunday, October 8.

AC/DC’s first live show in seven years and the return of Brian Johnson in February 2016 signifies an important milestone. Fans got a glimpse at the rehearsal footage of AC/DC’s new live line-up. They practiced the 1979 classic “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” in preparation for Power Trip.
