Black Label Society Bring Back Rare Ozzy Osbourne Cover During 2026 Tour Kickoff

Fans at a recent Black Label Society concert witnessed a powerful surprise when the band brought an Ozzy Osbourne classic back to the stage for the first time in decades.

During their March 6, 2026 show in Denver, Colorado, the group launched into No More Tears, a track originally performed by Ozzy Osbourne. The moment marked the first time Black Label Society had played the song live since 2001, making it a rare highlight for fans attending the tour’s opening night.

Frontman Zakk Wylde, who famously served as Ozzy Osbourne’s longtime guitarist, has always had a deep personal and musical connection with the legendary singer. Wylde played on several major Osbourne releases—including the 1991 album that originally featured “No More Tears”—and has remained closely tied to the Ozzy legacy throughout his career.

The Denver performance was captured by a fan filming from the front row, allowing viewers online to witness the moment the band launched into the iconic riff.

A Tour With a Personal Meaning

Black Label Society is currently traveling across North America, with tour dates scheduled through mid-May 2026.

The tour also arrives at a meaningful time for Wylde. The band is preparing to release a new studio album titled Engines of Demolition, scheduled to arrive on March 27, 2026.

One of the album’s tracks is a deeply personal tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. Wylde revealed that he wrote the song late one night after returning home following Ozzy’s funeral. Sitting in his library and looking through a book about his longtime friend, he began writing lyrics inspired by the moment.

Wylde later explained that the song is meant to resonate with anyone grieving someone they love. If listeners connect with the lyrics while thinking about their own loss, he said, then the song has accomplished its purpose.

A Tribute From One of Ozzy’s Closest Collaborators

For many fans, hearing “No More Tears” performed again carried extra emotional weight. Wylde spent decades working alongside Ozzy Osbourne and was one of the guitarist’s most recognizable musical partners.

Moments like this show how deeply Ozzy’s influence still runs through the heavy-metal world. Even years after the song’s original release—and decades since Black Label Society last performed it—the track continues to resonate with audiences who grew up on Osbourne’s music.

For those in Denver that night, the surprise cover became one of the most memorable moments of the tour’s opening show.
