Jack White Calls Out Christians Trump Supporters After Controversial ‘Jesus’ Post

Rock musician Jack White has strongly criticized Donald Trump after a controversial social media post in which Trump shared an AI-generated image that appeared to portray himself as a Christ-like healer. The post quickly sparked widespread backlash online before eventually being removed.

White responded publicly on Instagram, where he reposted the image and questioned how Trump’s evangelical supporters could continue backing him following what he described as a deeply inappropriate and blasphemous message.

In his statement, White addressed evangelical Christians directly, referencing long-standing religious warnings about false messianic figures. He wrote that people who had often warned about an “anti-Christ” presenting himself as a Christ-like figure should now take a closer look at Trump’s latest post.

White went further in his criticism, listing several controversies tied to Trump and questioning how religious supporters could overlook them. He pointed to issues including criminal charges, political decisions and public statements that he believes conflict with Christian values.

The musician also criticized Trump for repeatedly attacking religious leaders, particularly after the former president had recently directed criticism toward the Pope. White asked how Catholics could continue supporting a political figure who had publicly insulted their church leadership.

His remarks became even sharper toward the end of the post, where White escalated his criticism beyond politics.

White said that Trump had already earned the title of “worst president in the history of America,” before adding that he would go even further and call him the “worst American of all time.”

Trump later defended the controversial image by claiming it was meant to depict him as a doctor or humanitarian figure rather than Jesus. Nevertheless, the post had already drawn significant criticism from political commentators and even some religious conservatives who called it inappropriate or disrespectful.

White’s reaction is part of a long history of clashes between the musician and Trump. Over the years, White has repeatedly spoken out against the former president, including condemning Trump’s use of music by The White Stripes at political events and threatening legal action when their song “Seven Nation Army” was used without permission.

For White, the controversy surrounding the AI-generated image represents more than just another political disagreement. In his view, it highlights what he believes to be a deeper contradiction between Trump’s actions and the values claimed by many of his religious supporters.
